This software was developed for the Boeing Company for their trade show exhibits at the 2023 Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg and the 2023 Paris Air Show. It is physically deployed on a custom white Ideum Pano-49. This app and hardware use a unique resolution of 7764×2160, which comes from the 7680×2160 resolution with 84 pixels of horizontal bezel correction in Nvidia Mosaic. An Nvidia RTX A5000 GPU is specified for both performance and compatibility with Nvidia Mosaic. The app also uses Tangible Engine for Boeing booth staff to facilitate more focused tours and discussions with their customers and booth visitors.
The app features 3 major scenes: Boeing History, In Cabin / Cruise, and Taxi In. All scenes include interactive hotspots, each categorized as either a piece of technology or a sustainability effort. The scenes are set to automatically rotate every 5 minutes.
The History scene is set on a runway with several planes preparing for takeoff. The hotspots in this scene focus on Boeing’s commercial airliners and sustainability efforts and milestones.
The second scene, called In Cabin or Cruise interchangeably, features a cutaway model of an in-flight 787 Dreamliner. A few hotspots in this scene present specific information about the exterior features of the 787 aircraft, but most are focused on interior elements that are intended to be universally applicable to most if not all Boeing commercial airliners.
The final scene is called Taxi In which features a 3d model airport and several additional types of aircraft. Hotspots in this scene focus on Sustainable Air Fuel (SAF), EcoDemonstrator, the 737 Max, 787, and 777x, Boeing Freighters and a third party collaboration with Wisk.
The tangible controller gives Boeing Booth staff the ability to manually switch between the 3 scenes or pause the current scene and any open popup timers. The close “x” button will close and clear any open popups currently on the screen. Finally “Technology” and “Sustainability” buttons filter which hotspots on the table are active. Although Boeing was provided several tangibles, they all use the same foot pattern and can be used interchangeably.
