I’m a New Media artist working in museum exhibitions and interactive installations. I am drawn to projects with physical interactions that use technology to help tell a story or enhance and enable informal learning. I believe technology can be used to create immersive, social, and even magical experiences, especially when not constrained to traditional displays and interfaces.

I currently work at Ideum as a Senior Exhibit Developer. I serve as an exhibition developer working on our museum and zoo projects from proposals and concept design, through schematic and detail design. I collaborate with our internal creative services team and our clients to design exhibitions and experiences that will meet the project’s goals and constraints. I often create proof-of-concept prototypes for internal testing or client feedback. Once exhibits are in production, I serve as a software engineer and creative technologist to bring our interactives to life. Unity and C# are my most often used platform and language, but also regularly use Arduinos, Kinects, addressable LEDs, and a variety of other tech stacks and hardware.

Previously, I worked at the Children’s Creativity Museum, initially working as an Educator for 2 years, focused on creating educational programming around coding for middle school students. I ultimately transitioned from Education to Exhibits, serving as the Exhibits Development Manager for 7 years. Working at CCM gave me the opportunity to take the lead on many small to large-scale exhibit projects, contributing from conceptualization and grant writing through fabrication and programming.

I have a BFA in Interdisciplinary Computing in the Arts from the University of California, San Diego and a MFA in Web Design and New Media from the Academy of Art University.

I’m originally from San Diego, CA and lived in San Francisco for 10 years. I am currently residing in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I am available for freelance work.
